computer virus is a type of malware that, when executed, replicates by inserting copies of itself (possibly modified) into other computer programs, data files, or the boot sector of the hard drive; when this replication succeeds, the affected areas are then said to be “infected”. Viruses often perform some type of harmful activity on infected hosts, such as stealing hard disk space or CPU time, accessing private information, corrupting data, displaying political or humorous messages on the user’s screen, spamming their contacts, or logging their keystrokes

These are 4 computer viruses that very famous once upon a time

1.Morris Worm (1998) is the first internet worm in the world. it was created by Robert Tappan Morris which he create this worm for study but it accidentally copy themselves and make about 60,000 computer infected

2. ILOVEYOU (2000) it is a virus that come with e-mail with the subject named “ILOVEYOU”. When people open the mail, virus files name I-LOVE-YOU.txt will infected and make computer cannot be perform.

3. Code Red Worm (2001) this the very interest worm because normally the computer that infected by worm will have symptoms immediately, but this worm will show its power after 19 days after it infect and at that time this worm already spread all over the computer. Then, it will disappear or computer will perform normally for 7 days, then it will attack again. What an stunning and confuse worm it is.

4. Slammer (2003) it is the worm that make internet perform slower. This worm was launched first on January 25, 2003 at 05.30 am which after 30 minutes this worm infects for 75,000 computers.
